QUICKSANT

A retro ant colony sim where your ants think for themselves.

Your colony is waking up and the queen needs food. Place pheromone trails to direct your ants to dig, haul, and build. Each one autonomously follows the nearby scent trails, finding its way to work, food, or danger. Guide the colony organism to grow, expand, and conquer the dangers of the world.

And there are many dangers. The enemy anthill is quietly growing. Can you defeat their queen before they are too strong to fight back? Rain pours down into your tunnels and needs to be hauled back to the surface or contained safely underground. Ants get lost too far from the queen, but storing the queen's jelly along the way will keep them working far from home.

The world is fully destructible, and when you dig deep you need to haul that dirt and sand back to the surface so it doesn't block the tunnels. Direct your ants to build and harden soil on the surface to make room for more grass and the fruit it produces. Eventually the underground berries will run out, but if you plan carefully your colony will be ready.
